Type: Fish

The Momona, also called fatty by The Ancients, is a common, slow-moving fish related to blobfish. It's the plooply blubfisg this live in a chicken farm hoi it is the enemy, a crab with a beard. We love the plooply blubfisg :3.

Spawning[ | ]

The Momona appears in the Pokapango and Arapoa biomes.

Behavior[ | ]

Momona are passive in nature, aimlessly swimming in whatever direction they please. They are ignorant of other fauna, so they can be pushed around without much resistance. That being said, their large bodies are able to block small tunnels rather easily, making it difficult to navigate if said Momona also wedges itself. Like the Piripi, it's regularly preyed upon by secondary carnivores like the Wakakakao.

Like other prey animals, it can be affected by the Stun power.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Despite the Momona's appearance, real blobfish aren't normally fat in appearance. This is actually the result of individuals being brought to the surface, decompressing their bodies in the process.
    • They rely on the water pressure to maintain their shape, so when they are brought to a low pressure environment, their tissue is severely damaged and deformed.
