The Patapaihana is a peaceful cuttlefish living mostly in caves.

The Patapaihana's skin is a warning sign to predators. Its bioluminescent green stripes reminds any interested creature of its poisonous nature. The Ancients call it poisonous tentacles.
Spawning[ | ]
This cuttlefish appears in the Arapoa and Iatuku biomes. It is quite rare.
Behavior[ | ]
This creature is harmless as long as you keep a minimum distance. If a predator gets too close to the Patapaihana, it will quickly swim backwards and release its poisonous ink. The cuttlefish will not be able to shoot ink for some time after releasing ink. Take advantage of this to make your move if the cuttlefish is on your way.
Trivia[ | ]
- At the moment, its ink only poisons the player. Other creatures will be affected by poison in an upcoming update.
